Step 1: Install the App

Connect Carbonaa to your Shopify store

Enter your Shopify store domain

Enter your store's .myshopify.com address below to begin. You' ll be redirected to Shopify to approve the connection.

Find your domain in Shopify Admin → Settings → Domains

We never access payment details, customer passwords, or financial data.

Add the Carbonaa block to your storefront (Theme App Extension)

Carbonaa ships a Theme App Extension (an Online Store 2.0 App Block) so the carbon-offset opt-in renders natively inside your theme — no theme code edits, no ScriptTags, and it is automatically removed if you uninstall the app. After installing Carbonaa, complete these one-time steps in your Shopify admin so the opt-in appears at checkout.

Confirm your theme is Online Store 2.0 (Dawn, Sense, Craft, Origin, Refresh, Trade, or any 2.0-compatible theme). Vintage themes (Supply, Brooklyn, etc.) are not supported — switch to a 2.0 theme first.

In Shopify Admin go to Online Store → Themes, click Customize on your live theme.

Open the Product (or Cart) section, click Add block, search "Carbonaa", and add the Carbonaa Carbon Offset block.

Drag the block just below the Add to cart button (product page) or above Checkout (cart page). Use the block settings to choose Minimal or Detailed display style and to show/hide it on product or cart pages.

Save the theme. The opt-in is hidden by default and only shows once your offset capacity is active, so nothing appears to customers until you are ready.

The block reads your store's Carbonaa metafields automatically — no API keys or extra configuration required. If you change your offset price or preferred badge in the Carbonaa dashboard, the block updates on the next storefront load.

Uninstalling Carbonaa automatically removes the block from every theme — no leftover code.
