Getting Started
How do I get started with Carbonaa?
Sign up, upload your carbon report or complete our AI interview, configure your widget, and install it on your site. The whole process takes about 10 minutes.
What platforms do you support?
We support Shopify via our app, and custom platforms via our API.
Do I need a carbon assessment report?
Not necessarily. You can upload an existing ISO 14064 or GHG Protocol report, or use our AI assistant to calculate your footprint through a simple interview.
Pricing & Revenue
How much does Carbonaa cost?
Carbonaa charges 3% per offset transaction. No setup fees, no monthly costs. You only pay when your clients offset their purchases.
How do I make money from this?
You set the offset price for your clients (typically $0.01-0.05 per kg CO2). After paying 3% to Carbonaa and the offset partner costs, you keep the margin.
When do I receive payments?
Offset revenue is processed weekly via Stripe. You can track all transactions in your merchant workspace.
Carbon Offsetting
How is CO2 per plan calculated?
We use your annual emissions (Scope 1+2+3) and divide by total plans sold per year. Or our AI analyzes your company data to estimate footprint.
Which offset partners do you work with?
We integrate with Lune and other Gold Standard certified project providers. All partners are verified and transparent.
What kind of projects does Carbonaa support?

Are the offsets real?
Yes. All offset projects are certified by Gold Standard, VCS, or equivalent standards. Clients receive certificates with unique IDs for verification.
Technical
How do I install the widget?
Copy the embed code from your workspace and paste it before the closing </body> tag on your website. Detailed guides available for each platform.
Can I customize the widget appearance?
Yes. You can customize colors, text, position, and which information to display (CO2, trees, etc.) in the Widget Configuration page.
Do you offer an API?
Yes. Our REST API lets you integrate carbon offsetting into custom checkout flows. View our API documentation for details.
What about webhooks?
You can configure webhook URLs to receive real-time alarms when offsets complete, fail, or certificates are issued.
